Low temperature bearing is not a bearing that operates stably in high temperature environment corresponding to high temperature bearing, but refers to reducing the friction coefficient through the design of special materials and structures, so as to reduce friction heating and keep the bearing low temperature during long-term operation.
Bearings with operating temperature below – 196 ℃ are low-temperature bearings.
It is mainly used in various liquid pumps, such as liquefied natural gas pump, liquid nitrogen (hydrogen, oxygen) pump, butane pump, liquid pump for rocket and missile, spacecraft, etc.

Low temperature bearings are usually made of stainless steel bearing steel 9Cr18 and 9Cr18Mo, or beryllium bronze, ceramics and other materials;
Working temperature at extremely low temperature (limit temperature – 253 ℃): when the working limit temperature is required to be – 253 ℃, 6Cr14Mo material can be selected, but it must be used in vacuum environment.
Note: during the use of low-temperature bearing, pay attention to burns caused by poor lubrication, so pay attention to the selection of appropriate lubricant.
